Hope

In these dark days
(anyway at our side of the world)
There are many people who struggle with the darkness
the cold
the lonelyness

More than in other times of the year
People tend to gather together,
show each other their good will
Sing about peace on earth

Decorating the house, the trees
Burning the candles
The fire
The return of the light

Some say. Could it be chriistmas every day
People being so nice for each other

I don't think that way
For me christmas is a nice and peaceful time of the year
Cozy, with the ones you love
(no matter if they are sitting next to you, or are in thoughts miles away)

The darkness keeps me a bit more in the house
Time to think about my blessings
Drinking a bit of hope
from the bright light
that shines always
and in the dark
is seen a bit better
