Marriage Equality

The Americans all the sudden seem very proud about what did happen.  Court did decide that equal marriage is legal and seems to wipe away all the different laws in the various staes of the USA

Everywhere at the social media you see people cheering and feeling 'proud'  at the court decision, well, of course it is a good sign, that there is from now on no difference anymore in marriage between two people that love eachother, that is a huge step forward and (finally) a slap into the face of the conservative religious lobby.

I like to cheer for America, but I should not be me if I do not raise my finger right away. This is not the end, this is just the beginnen.  As long as law is talking about diffences, or allowing various group of people to marry, that is still a strange line in the law. As if you have humans and gays, who now have the same rights.  Isn't that weird? And isn' t that easy to skip that part, or to make exceptions for other gourp of people still?

My law should be that there should be no law. Marriage for everyone should be normal and not a written rule.

As long as it is written in the law it is not a natural thing and not accepted.  There is a long way to go, but a giant step forward is made indeed.

Zensiert

Tolerance?

Time for something personal again. And it is about the people at facebook.

It is not for fun that I say it, but I see that I am right in how I judge certain people. Let's talk about one, I call him for the ease H.

H did, long ago, own a group where I did participate. While I did like what was doine in the group, I got active and, as a consequence I did get friends with him.  Now you all should kow that I do not want the word friend being related to relative far away Facebook Friends.  Friends are a very small group intimate people, that Iknow and THAT are friends.  At Facebook the word friends is used different, so, I became a FB friend with this H

H did not show up much and a few people did put on nice initiatives to get the group running.
H did however post many things at his own profile, and the things I read there were not amusing me.  Encouraging hate messages against muslims and foreigners in general (armes deutschland,  Politik wache mal auf), were the slogans that we know out of the dark brown world. Blegh.  I did report a range of this messages and got partially success with getting them deleted.

Reading all this did decide me to take him out of my FB friends list. I do not want to be related to this kind of messages!
Time went by, we met a few times and after a few drinks and friendly hugs we became again FB Friends.  I did take care that none of my friends could see his messages and me as well.
Now H and I am in a nice group in what all the things that matter our city are discussed.
Now H is showing his horrible messages there as well.  I can not prevent to see none of them and I am glad that the administrator in that group is deleting the stuff.
The admin in that group, however, is, in my eyes, a toy for this H (and his friend). These two have realy weird ideas and it is hard to see such people so close, I mean, I meet them regurarily in town and I talk with them,  but I do NOT agree with their ideas, in no way!

I struggle at the moment in how to handle this further. I don't want to see his messages.  I don't want to get into discussion with him/them, but I can not let it go easily.
Should I put up a sign, like the 'no to racism'  picture as below, and encouraging responses in his crap?
Should I wait until the administrator did delete the crap, meanwhile feeling ashamed to know that guy and being part in the same group?
Should I quit the group?

I do not let myself being scared away by the brown scene.  I am not afraid. I told that to his friend and I tell that to H as well.  I shall not shut up.  But I shall not give them the fun that they can hit me on the head, saying, who is not with us, is against us.  No way baby.

So beware, all H's and other parrots of the world.  I might sit at the same table with you, drinking a beer, but when you raise your voice, I shalll respond.  I will not scream louder then you. There is no place in this world for your rotten words. Not now, not in the future.

Faceboo and beacons

I just read this at one of the good technical sites.

I was amazed already, this week, that, after that I did check out (google) for some photo equipment, that since that moment there is a constant advertising from similar articles.  Hey hellooooo I did order it and (at least a part of it) is supposed to arrive this afternoon, stop with those not so helpful hints! :-), get that intelligent that I did order it already. Okay, I need to be fair, it is with another account, but still...

Good. Our friend Faceboo is going a step further with telling us where we are, it seems. Since I barely use bluetooth and GPS (those batteries huh), it will not be very helpful for me so I guess that for the moment I am stuck to look around and not at my device to see where I am.

Nevertheless, the technical things are improving and going further, unstoppable.  I get scared already with thinking that my friends tell me all the time where they are :-)

Facebook tosses creepy Place Tips beacons at stateside retailers

Bluetooth and location turned on? Then watch out, suckershopper!

Facebook has begun dishing out "free" beacons to retail outfits in the US, just in time for an update to its eerie Place Tips technology, which is now being deployed across the country.
The Yelp-like service kicks into life when a Facebook user's location-tracking is set to the default 'on' mode and their mobe has Bluetooth enabled.
As The Register reported in January, Place Tips uses GPS, cell towers and Wi-Fi networks to feed information about local retailers, firms and attractions that are nearby to a given Facebooker.
Facebook has promised that its beacon – which some readers with longish memories may consider to be an ill-advised, albeit generic, name – is "designed for privacy".
The Mark Zuckerberg-run company told businesses:
These beacons use Bluetooth technology to send a one-way signal to the Facebook app on your visitors’ phones to help us show them the right information.
The beacons don’t collect any information from people or their phones or change the kind of location information Facebook receives. They’re designed not to disrupt the operation of your Wi-Fi or other equipment.
Only people who have enabled location services on their phone and have Bluetooth turned on will receive Place Tips from the beacon at your business.
Facebook could eventually offer this tech to retailers who want to serve up ads and deals to people who are within the vicinity of their biz, but would rather follow their phone than their nose for a bargain.
The modern world is wonderful, isn't it? ®

Your most effective way to help Tibetans

SUPPORT TIBET GET UPDATES FACEBOOK TWITTER

Friend of TibetDear Hans,

There’s no religious freedom in Tibet. Certainly not the freedom you and I enjoy.

Instead, the people of Tibet endure religious persecution every day. And the Chinese government’s oppression is worsening by the day.

That’s why I’m asking you to become a Friend of Tibet right now by supporting ICT with automated monthly contributions.

Recent attacks on Tibetans’ religious freedom include Chinese Communist Party edicts outlawing prayer, incense offerings and lighting traditional butter lamps. Chinese authorities have even warned Tibetans against “participating in religious activities of any kind” in other countries!

This is the sort of crisis that makes Friends of Tibet such crucial partners in our work. Their steady, reliable support keeps ICT in action protecting Tibetans’ basic human rights.

Some Friends of Tibet give $10 a month; others $15, $20 or more. The amount is up to you, you can change your gift preferences anytime and you will help cut our costs by reducing requests for additional support. The real key is giving ICT a ready source of funding we can count on in emergency situations while keeping international pressure on the Chinese government.

With religious persecution escalating in Tibet, I’m hoping to welcome 35 new Friends of Tibet by the end of this week.

Please join this important group now. It only takes a moment through our secure online enrollment form and it’s the easiest and most effective way for you to help. By making your gifts automatically each month you will have a consistent and immediate impact on the lives and futures of Tibetans in Tibet.

With gratitude,
Lizzy Ludwig

P.S. I’m an ICT Friend of Tibet myself. It’s such a convenient way to give, and to know my gifts are making a real difference for our brothers and sisters in Tibet. Please become a Friend of Tibet today.
