A serious attack

Yesterday, Tuesday 23rd March, we were shocked again with a very bloody suicide bombing, this time the location was Brussels

They come closer.

It is a scary thing, of course, that we have to learn to live with the fact that there are idiots (I find no better word for it) who think that it brings somethng to kill themselves and many more others.
Of course the tactic from the terror organisations is to destabilize countries with it. There are no ways to stop a suicide bomber properly, even in the most strict dictature. Look to Tibet, where the chinese agressor even after 57 years is not able to stop the suiciders.  Okay, we can not compare it fully, the suicides in Tibet are personal, no one else is involved, and are a peaceful protest against china.

But the idea is the same. The authoroties want, with all costs, to stop those suicide actions.
Bringing it back to the rest of the world again, we see that our local governments are failing in their main task, to give us a safe home, where we can live in a relative safety.

Now I wonder, for a longer time, how to handle, what to do, to get my life as less influenced by these contineous threads.
The reaction of the autorothies is understandable. They send more police and army in the street.  That however is not giving me a safer feeling. On the contrary, I feel scared when I see the heavy weapons and the dominating uniforms. I get scared, because those people are trained to kill other people.
I am less scared from the suicide bomber, that is pulling his luggage bagage with the deadly bombs in it.  Because I do not see it, I feel not confrontated. Until the moment that the bombs explode and do their work...

Many people point to the governments, that they did do wrong, that they are doing too less to give us a safe feeling.
They could do more, true, but I think that it is not fair to blame them for all.
What happens when you put the anger to the government, for example, to weak the ruling parties with a (protest)vote for a party that only is living from hate and agression?
Government, you should promis less. Don't make similar mistakes as Mr Bush, who did promise to eliminate terror, after the crashes of the planes in NewYork.  Well, with all the millions invested, the world did get only less safe.

What do we do in our own street?  Not so long ago I saw a women with a Burka, eyes only. Of course that is remarkable, it is not that common in our streets, but okay, nothing was happening until a couple passed by, of what the woman said, very loud, how aweful the Burka was, and that those people should be locked in jail.
The woman with the Burka replied in perfect german, this as note aside, and there were a few people that said things, the peaceful street became less peaceful.  The woman with the comments had cowardly walked away, and was not there anymore to explain her behavior.

This way a peaceful walk in the city was close for escalating. It is a small example of how it works.  If that woman had not commented about the Burka, no one should have felt offended, and all should be fine and wonderful.
Why did that woman make her comments?  Is she scared for the unknown? Maybe she has right (the fully covered face is very extreme and provocating in our western world, people who wear that should be aware of it). Did she want that woman back to her country? (most likely it was a German woman, considering her language).
We will never know unless we can find that woman again to ask her to explain her behavior.'

This in mind, with all the other things that happen, I think that I still like my own 'theory'

Love is the answer.

Who is scared for the unknown has always the choice to learn about the unknown. Why are people dressed like that, what do people mean?  A different language is not a reason that we can not communicate with eachother.  I see that when I talk with refugees. We are able to communicate with our hands, with our mobile phones, it works! and leads to nice chats.

Let's mind our own business, instead of pointing to others (people, governments, religious leaders), that are out of our reach.
Smile to your neighbour, hug your partner a tiime extra.  Be good to others, and when you disagree with eachother, try to respect that the other has another opinion.

If we can not change the big world, we can always try to make our own world worth to live in.

Give peace a chance, in your heart. Love is all around and it is up to us to pick it up or to throw it away.  No one but you is responsible for what you do in your own world.
What is your choice?

  1. This is my (personal) opinion. It has been more then 3 months, but it seems like yesterday.Since the Bataclan I watch the news every day (official news)and I've noticed that the frequenty of terror attacks increased to daily events. But back to Europe where Brussels Airport is recovered to functional, scars will remain,I to have scars from the attacks and I think there will come more. Our daily business and routines have come back.It isn't a personal threat anymore (it felt that way) now I'm more upset how neighbours and fellow citizens are so cold to eachother.Belgium is not united anymore,it has not been united anymore since king Baudoin died. There are a few days of proof it can be,like the actions around pedofile Dutroux, the national soccer team or even a march throu Brussels (but they always and up in riots) I'm living my life in peace and keep myself out of social events, thrusting others has become almost impossible, standing alone is peacefull, however every time I could help anywhere I'll be there hoping the future will become better.About foreigners and refugees I do not hate them like many do blindling.the enemy of terror is invisible so why blame anybody for the matter, peace is not all around, but when people start loving themselfs and their neighbours it can become reality, the song was a message back then and it is right now ♥
