Does that sound familiar?
Isn't that the message that your friends at facebook bring you? Showing a few pictures of themselves, and the message that they are greatful that you were part of their year?
Did you follow their updates at their time lines, what they told you in the past 12 months, how 'wonderful' their life was? Big chance that there were more then 2 'subjects' that were not that great. So, were you part of that as well, I wonder?
I for myself know what friends can say that I was part of their life. The ones I did laugh with, or shed a tear with. The ones of what I, looking back over the year, know more about then just their name.
It is a handful, and that is enough.
I do understand, however, that it is a way to greet all your friends in one message. In my eyes that is just silly. How can you put everyone in the same line? Maybe you have people at your friends list that you actually don't want to be friends with, but they are there becuse they are family, colleagues, neighbours or what, that you only did add to forecome troubles. Do you want to thank them for being the pains in your life? Then write THAT! :)
All those messages, it looks so nice, but it scares me.
Because it shows clear how mass movements work. One person (mr facebook) directs us in a position in what we say things that we do not mean. One person (mr facebook) tells us what words we should use and what we should show to the others from our past year.
It is similar to what dictators do. Telling the people what they should shout. And just shout. Do not listen to what others ask you, because you will not know the answer.
The PEDIGA people in germany do the same. They are so scared that the country will be over ruled from the islam, that they want to 'save the evening country' avondland.. Who the hell did invent the word Avondland/evening country??? Other then that it is the opposite to a legal thng, the morning land, it is just crazy and strange. There IS no Avondland. There is no islaminatiion of the country as long as more then 70 per cent of the people has other religions.
Fear makes us helpless. We fear, get blind for reason and panic. And then the rulers come and push us somewhere where we did not want to be. And then it is too late, because then we have given up our own personality. When we do not think ourselfves anymore, and give it to others, then the others shall use us as their puppets.
Don't be a puppet on a string from others. Not even from Facebook, because you think that it is harmless, it is not. They tell us already what name and identiy to use, we allow them to know more about us then that we ever trust to anyone else. So next step, we shouting what they want us to shout, the step is there.
It is about time that we start to think ourselves about things. And do what we want, instead of following some people that pull the lines behind the curtain
Don't think that it is not that bad.. It is exactly that way that big wars did start. Read your history. And most of all. THINK before doing! And don't press ok on words that others want that you tell.
