Dear Hans,
I can never thank you enough for answering the Tibetan people’s cry for help.
As a member of the International Campaign for Tibet, you help keep the
plight of Tibetans in the world’s consciousness … keep pressure on
Chinese Communist Party officials to end their oppression and
persecution of Tibetans … and keep hope alive for a peaceful resolution
to the crisis in Tibet.
We must never let up until Tibetans can live in peace according to their
beliefs, traditions and culture. That’s why I’m so concerned about our
year-end challenge results so far.
ICT’s $200,000 year-end challenge is winding down and we are still $93,500 short of that crucial funding goal. Please make your year-end gift now.
Our mission is clear and compelling: protecting human rights and democratic freedoms for the people of Tibet.
Of course, that’s easier said than done. You understand as well as
anyone that guaranteeing Tibetans the same rights and freedoms you and I
enjoy is a constant, challenging struggle.
Tibetans are remarkably resilient, as evidenced by surviving more than
six decades of China’s brutal occupation. But they cannot realize their
aspirations to live in peace without help from friends like you.
So once more before the holidays, I ask you to please stand in solidarity with the people of Tibet.

Sincerely,
Matteo Mecacci
