A joyous Occasion Turns Tragic

It is sad, and true what happens in china, when it come to free expression and free religion. The agressors still occupy Tibet and other parts that never did ask to be a part of China, but brutely are taken over.

We all know how valueable it is for Human beings to be able to express feelings, to share beliefs and wisdom.
Many of us (sure my friends) do stand for equal rights, as well for animal rights.
Where is our voice when it comes to human rights?  Why are all governments allowing this kind of murder?

Yes, it is the money thing, I know it. And it makes me immense sad to see that no one realy cares.  No one at all.

DonateDear Hans,

I am pleased to confirm that more than 20,000 International Campaign for Tibet members participated in sending birthday greetings to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

But while we were gathering your messages, peaceful celebrations of His Holiness’ birthday were violently interrupted by Chinese authorities on Saturday. Two Tibetan monks were shot in the head by Chinese police for peacefully observing the Dalai Lama’s birthday. The vicious attack occurred in Nyitso, Tawu, eastern Tibet, when armed police opened fire on a gathering of monks, nuns and laypeople who were lighting incense and praying to mark what should have been a joyous occasion.

This latest incident of Chinese authorities’ violence against Tibetans is a searing example of why your support of ICT is so very important.

Tibetan culture, traditions and the Tibetan people’s aspirations for peace – all exemplified by the Dalai Lama – are under systematic assault by the Chinese government. Your contribution to ICT will help us:

  • Reveal the truth about China’s oppressive policies and assaults on Tibetan culture.

  • Ensure support for humanitarian relief efforts on behalf of Tibetan refugees.

  • Directly engage the Chinese people and rally people worldwide to the cause of Tibetan self-determination.
Those efforts and many others are made possible by your kind support.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama has always been appreciative of supporters of the Tibetan people throughout the world and everyone here at ICT is deeply grateful for your commitment to our work. Please step up again to help our Tibetan brothers and sisters toward more hopeful, peaceful futures.

Thank you,

Bhuchung Tsering
Interim President
