This highly-revered religious leader is serving a 2.5 year sentence in a
Chinese prison for allegedly “divulging state secrets” – reminiscent of
spurious charges that led to the imprisonment and tragic death of
Tenzin Delek Rinpoche last month. Due to serious health problems,
worsened by deplorable prison conditions, Khenpo Kartse might be the next victim of China’s brutal policies in Tibet.
