Together for Tibet

Matching Gift Challenge
SUPPORT TIBET GET UPDATES FACEBOOK TWITTER
Richard GereDear Hans,

I hope this letter finds you well and happy. As a compassionate supporter of the International Campaign for Tibet, I know we share that same hope for the people of Tibet: Wellness, happiness, and, of course, peace.

But, Hans, hope is not enough to bring peace back to Tibet. His Holiness the Dalai Lama reminds us that change requires action. And as Chairman of the ICT Board of Directors, I know that action takes courage. Courage… and resources.

That’s why I’m writing to you today.

I want to raise a challenge. Together with another ICT member, I will match all gifts up to $200,000.

That means every dollar of your generous support will be matched up to $200,000 – funds that can be put into action, emboldening our efforts to bring about real, enduring change in Tibet.

Will you make a gift today that will provide the critical resources needed to expand our work and increase our impact?

Together, our community of compassion can help provide the resources needed to strengthen advocacy, monitoring, and reporting efforts, which are essential to ensuring the very survival of Tibet and its wisdom culture.

This is important. Together, with you, with your gift, we will make a real difference.

On behalf of a people, country, and culture so close to my heart, thank you for your support.

P.S. Our ability to affect change is strongest when we work together. With your gift, we will make a difference. Please give today.

SIGN PETITIONDear Hans,

Chinese President Xi Jinping – who presides over China's inhumane treatment of Tibetan political prisoners – will be arriving at the White House this Friday.

Add your name to this International Campaign for Tibet petition now. Sign before midnight to add your voice to the ever growing list of over 5,000 supporters worldwide.

Highly-revered lama Tenzin Delek Rinpoche died in a Chinese prison this summer. ICT helped alert the world to this tragedy. Now we are rallying public support to help save Khenpo Khartse, a respected abbot who is beloved by his community and is suffering serious health problems as he serves a 2-1/2 year sentence for allegedly "divulging state secrets."

Friday's State Visit by China's president gives us a golden opportunity to focus attention on the plight of political prisoners in Tibet … and to make sure President Xi hears our call for justice loud and clear!

Please sign now to help free Tibetan political prisoners.

Thank you,
Matteo Mecacci

Donate TodayDear Hans,

You could be Tibetan political prisoner Khenpo Kartse’s key to freedom and his best chance for survival.

This highly-revered religious leader is serving a 2.5 year sentence in a Chinese prison for allegedly “divulging state secrets” – reminiscent of spurious charges that led to the imprisonment and tragic death of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche last month. Due to serious health problems, worsened by deplorable prison conditions, Khenpo Kartse might be the next victim of China’s brutal policies in Tibet.

Your contribution to the International Campaign for Tibet
could make a difference.

People of conscience and compassion like you are the voice Tibetan political prisoners have … and their source of hope.

Your support of ICT helps fund high-level advocacy campaigns, intensify pressure on the Chinese government and seek justice for innocents like Khenpo Kartse. Khenpo Kartse’s life is at risk. Make sure he is not next. That’s why your immediate response is so urgently needed.

Please make your tax-deductible gift now.

Thank you,
Matteo Mecacci

P.S. Because your support will help us seek freedom for Khenpo Kartse, I hope you will be as generous as possible. If you donate $10 or more, I will send you an ICT Freedom Bracelet to wear in solidarity with all Tibetan political prisoners.

Friends of Tibet

Friend of TibetDear Hans,

There’s no religious freedom in Tibet. Certainly not the freedom you and I enjoy.

Instead, the people of Tibet endure religious persecution every day. And the Chinese government’s oppression is worsening by the day.

That’s why I’m asking you to become a Friend of Tibet right now by supporting ICT with automated monthly contributions.

Recent attacks on Tibetans’ religious freedom include Chinese Communist Party edicts outlawing prayer, incense offerings and lighting traditional butter lamps. Chinese authorities have even warned Tibetans against “participating in religious activities of any kind” in other countries!

This is the sort of crisis that makes Friends of Tibet such crucial partners in our work. Their steady, reliable support keeps ICT in action protecting Tibetans’ basic human rights.

Some Friends of Tibet give $10 a month; others $15, $20 or more. The amount is up to you, you can change your gift preferences anytime and you will help cut our costs by reducing requests for additional support. The real key is giving ICT a ready source of funding we can count on in emergency situations while keeping international pressure on the Chinese government.

With religious persecution escalating in Tibet, I’m hoping to welcome 35 new Friends of Tibet by the end of this week.

Please join this important group now. It only takes a moment through our secure online enrollment form and it’s the easiest and most effective way for you to help. By making your gifts automatically each month you will have a consistent and immediate impact on the lives and futures of Tibetans in Tibet.

With gratitude,
Lizzy Ludwig

P.S. I’m an ICT Friend of Tibet myself. It’s such a convenient way to give, and to know my gifts are making a real difference for our brothers and sisters in Tibet. Please become a Friend of Tibet today.
