Some news out of the laboratories of the Mafia Wars, distracted from a group message, so I can NOT refer or tell you the sources
I have some russia info from the developers forums if you'd like it
ok, if you go with Vory it will force a new non-changable name on you, loosing the tag stems from the basis the history is that they never co operated with any form of authority will therefore disperse clans tags will vanish and can't be added
also, alot, if not all loot will not be passable between the 2 diff sides/choices
will end up pitting tagged against untagged players:
the same for new york and cuba you wont be able to play them anymore
yes, will also be 11 countries in total and you russia choice will influence them all all 11 to be active by jan 2010 if on schedule
it's all pulled from talk on the adobe forums, never can be sure but usually it is right
can only tell you what I read
if anyone chooses to remain taggable they will have significantly lower loot drops
and minis cant pass
apparently the aim is to level the playing ground between strong clans and weak individual players
that explains why they made weapons so much more important... to get people to go to the Vory side
that's taken from a developers forum, I would trust the info usually but it's one of those can't be sure until it launches,
PLAYER ACCT CHANGES:
Changes:
Fight Screen:
There are no longer links to people you fight. You can no longer visit their profile or copy the link. They obviously have given into people who are "bullied" and changed it so you can no longer save links
Robbing:
Robbing has been removed. You may no longer rob anyone.
Skill Points:
There is a new skill called "Influence" that regenerates once per hour. This is used for gaining money through the new rackets system, you may no longer buy properties.
You get 6 skill points per level now.
Rackets:
You use influence to shake down the owner and gain money, to gain it you have to be back on the dot to collect the money.
Top Mafia:
Top Mafia is no longer on your home screen.
Stamina:
It costs 1 skill point per stamina now.
Hitlist:
It's still there, and it does link to profiles. Just no profiles are listed when you are attacked or on the fight screen.
Jobs:
Now give a set amount of money, nearly 1/10th of what they were before.
