Faith

There are so many things that I do not see, but that I love to believe
Things that I hope will happen, maybe against all logical thoughts, but still

I do believe in a world with peace, even when I see more and more violence around me
People stuck into their own castles, care less and less about others, just about theirselves
Want to change everything, as long as they don't have to give up anything themselves

People who are scared and blinded by the violence.
'we are not violence to who are not violence with us' .. a horrible thing to think of

But I have faith
in a better world
Why?
Because I know that it works.

When I smile to that man, that has to walk 14 hours a day in the street, before he can get to his louzy bed for the night, if he is lucky and it is one of the 5 days in the week that he can stay there.. When I smile to him, and he smiles back, wants to share his cigarette with me.
Than I know that my faith is not just an illusion
When people call me best friends, and than easy as that disappear, I still have faith
Because I know what friendship means to me
and the door is always open for who wants to come in

That might be cold in the winter, an open door
But I prefer an open door (an open mind)
above a closed one
