Freedom of ...

Freedom of speach is a very valueable thing.

Other then in America, where the orange president forces his party members to vote correctly, otherwise they can't go into holidays,,  we have freedom to say and vote what we want.

It seems that there are more and more people who want to say a thing, about anything, but it is not always clear why people make their comments.
Yes, I talk about photos again.  It seems that I am slowly reaching a category in what people notice my photos, and then find a reason to react.

Such as this photo, what I made with my mobile phone, and edited, just a tiny little bit, to get the clouds more dominant.
In a short time the photo is liked by over 200 people, and, even when I always say likes do not matter, it is still nice to see that so many people like the photo!

But, there are always people who find it necessary to say some negative about it.  And I do not mind a critical note, at all. But when the remark comes as an attempt to make the photo/posting a laugh, then I wonder why people do so. Then, be streight and say, hey, I think it is bullshite, disagree with the other 200 people because you know what you are talking about.

A (sick) joker gets always people who laugh with them.  But the only way that I value your comments is when they make sense. Even when I not agree, I still can respect you. But when you make a laugh out of me, I simply have no other reply then shrugging the soulders.

I think freedom of speech is a very good and valueable thing. However, it should not hurt some people to think before speaking (or writining).

Privacy

Let's talk about privacy.

I think we all make more (or less) thoughts about our privacy.  In our house we have the doors closed, locked, and have only access for people that we allow to come in.  In some cultures and countries that is more strict, in other less. Fact is that we do not let everyone enter our properties, and if we do, it is from free will. We also want to know who is coming to us. The doors are only opened when we know that we want the person in.

How different that is with internet.  How much privacy do you need there?  For how many 'strangers' your doors are open?  Not to speak from the unwanted visitors, who simply come around while they see the door open (or have a key for it) and of who you never will be aware.

I understand, and respect when people do not want their photos to be seen at internet. It is why I can not show my grandson, for example, even how much I like to do so. So, I wont.
And when people do not want to see their photos at the internet, fine. Just let me know and I won't show.

Still, it surprises me,  when people do want their own (photo) privacy, and do not hesitate to post photos from others in public. Take one way, or the other, that's less confusing and makes sense.

(Someone reacted, I can't find the reaction, but still want to say something about it)

This blog is meant as a reflection of the facts I see in the behavior of people. If people feel attacked, then I can not help it, as well as their reactions.

The right on privacy for everyone is undiscussed!
When people appear at photos, unwanted, in public, at my postings or photos, then a private message is enough to get them deleted.

Proud drinker

Understand me correctly

I do not mind when people drink. I do not even mind when people drink alcohl. And I don't mind when people get a bit funny when they drink a bit more.

What I not understand,, is why people are bragging about drinking too much?
I am no angel, and I think most of us have the experience of having drank too much alcohol, at least once in a lifetime.

Nowadays it looks like 'the world'  needs to brag about the many drinks that they had.  Facebook turns in the weekend to a place where people post discussable photos, and discussable remarks, who are clearly caused by drinking alcohol.
The amount of people that drink in the street,  bus, train, I can't remember that it was so common in eearlier years.

I think I get too old for this. No, I am not.  I never was a huge drinker of alcohl.  I like a drink, a good wine, whisky or a few beers. And that's basically it.

I see around me, almost daily, what alcohol can do to people.  It is hard for me to take people serious who brag about the amount of alcohl, or the state of alcohl they are in. It is not funny, it is just embarrassing.

Now shoot me for this.  I will lean back and watch your reactions. Maybe I drink a beer with it. Maybe not.

Randoms

Why is someone every time again upsetting me, especially when it comes to ntionalism, and I still have to react on it?  Why do I not just leave it for what it is?

Why does it hurt me so much when people violate others?  Shouldn't I mind my own business instead?

Why do I hate to see a big country (the land of the free)  changing rapidly in a war machine?

Why do I dislike it, to see people that sit every day at the market drinking coffee? Why do I not just let them, instead of asking them if they have nothing better to do?

More randoms to come

Celebration time

I think everyone has the right to celebrate.  It is a form of expressing your feelings, being happy. For yourself, for others.

And many of us celebrate as well for their country. Today there is a big country celebrating the 4th of July, and a lot of people are showing that.  just like the Canadian did do that a few days ago, and just like the French will do that in a couple of days.

I hope that everyone who celebrates, wil do that in respect for each other. And as well in respect for the people who not want to celebrate.  There must be space for that as well.  If someone (hmm, could it be me? LOL)  is not so keen on it, that should be respected as well.

I experienced that, also in this, there is less tolerance then a while ago. I noticed that more and more people take the 'I do ot want to participate'  as a 'you are against 'us'.
That is so wrong!
When someone tells me I am against (in this case) America, because I do not prticipate in the excitement, then I think that those persons have a very narrow mind.
They listen only to the words that upset them.  Who is not with us, is against us, sounds so much like war propaganda, and that scares me.

I wish everyone a wonderful day, wonderful firework and so more, today in America, on other days in other countries.  And I think that you only have the right to be proud at your country, if you can respect that there are people who think diffferent.
Spread your view at the world, quit your narrow mind, we are all God's people, love knows no borders.

One big step forward

It is a good day, in Germany, now the laws are officially granted for equal marriage.
I can absolutely not understand that people (inclusive Mrs Merkel) voted against it. There are no constitutial objectons, nor religious, because we are ALL God's people.

I don't want a president that makes differences between people!

9 years

Today Facebook told me that it is exactly 9 years ago that I joined Facebook.

Wow!  Time flies when you are having fun.   In those 9 years a lot has happened, what I could not foresee, and I was thinking (yeah.... sorry for that!!)  about how the social media, facebook, influenced my life as well.

One of the most important influences at my life, Facebook gave me in playing a game, called Mafia Wars. I met a few people through it, that I not want to loose, even now the game has passed away a time ago.
The other thing is the photography.  Thanks to Facebook I met a group of people, from what some really became good friends, what has a daily effect at my life.

There are a few other 'red lines' in my facebook carreer. One is, of course, Queen.  It hurts so much that I see people who call themselves Queen fans, getting excited from the Queen and AL  gigs. I mean, everyone can sing queen songs, but when a group names itself Queen, and then you hear the singinging as if the lead singer has a kind of bad throat infection... Oh well, enough said, I promised to behave this time in this.

That is a thing that changed as well. I am still having a sharp (written) tongue, and can tell the things that take your breath away (ha!). But I try to do it less.  Not that my opinion changed, but I try to hurt less people. If I want that others respect me, I should be respectful to others as well, right?

There are also shadow sides at facebook. When I see grown up people, who almost whine about things that happen, I wonder what a life they have.  In fact I know. They have what I had a while ago as well.
Get a life, or, get your life back. It is such a waste of time, if you get upset by people that think different then you!
Life is too short for mimimimi, as we say in Germany  :)

9 years of Facebook. I think I can make it until 10.  Yes, I can!  :). Thank everyone who unfriended me, or blocked me :) you made my life much more eaasy!
