Dear Hans,
There’s no religious freedom in Tibet. Certainly not the freedom you and I enjoy.
Instead, the people of Tibet endure religious persecution every day. And the Chinese government’s oppression is worsening by the day.
That’s why I’m asking you to become a Friend of Tibet right now by supporting ICT with automated monthly contributions.
Recent attacks on Tibetans’ religious freedom include Chinese Communist
Party edicts outlawing prayer, incense offerings and lighting
traditional butter lamps. Chinese authorities have even warned Tibetans
against “participating in religious activities of any kind” in other
countries!
This is the sort of crisis that makes Friends of Tibet such crucial partners in our work. Their steady, reliable support keeps ICT in action protecting Tibetans’ basic human rights.
Some Friends of Tibet give $10 a month; others $15, $20 or
more. The amount is up to you, you can change your gift preferences
anytime and you will help cut our costs by reducing requests for
additional support. The real key is giving ICT a ready source of funding
we can count on in emergency situations while keeping international
pressure on the Chinese government.
With religious persecution escalating in Tibet, I’m hoping to welcome 35 new Friends of Tibet by the end of this week.
Please join this important group now.
It only takes a moment through our secure online enrollment form and
it’s the easiest and most effective way for you to help. By making your
gifts automatically each month you will have a consistent and immediate
impact on the lives and futures of Tibetans in Tibet.
With gratitude,
Lizzy Ludwig
Friends of Tibet Liaison
P.S. I’m an ICT Friend of Tibet myself. It’s such a convenient
way to give, and to know my gifts are making a real difference for our
brothers and sisters in Tibet. Please become a Friend of Tibet today.
