action alert!
For two years, New Zealand police have been tracking a group of teens
posting about their exploits drugging and raping underage girls. It's
high time they were arrested and charged with a crime.
Dear hans,
In Auckland, New Zealand, the police have been tracking a group of three teen boys since 2011 -- collecting their posts on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter where the "rape club" would brag about drugging and assaulting dozens of underage girls. Some of the alleged victims were only 13 years old. While the police and the media have spoken to many of the victims, they still haven't opened a formal case against the boys involved. This despite the fact that four of the victims have filed formal complaints over the past two years. After more than two years of observing these boys virtually harass their victims, there should be more than enough evidence available to charge them with a crime. You can help by putting pressure on the Auckland City Police Department and demanding that they press charges. Let's tell the Auckland Police not to let these rape club members off the hook!
