A penny for your thoughts?

I think most of you read it, or heard it, the big news of the day.

Facebook is going to experiment with mind reading.  Officially it is said to be helpful, so that people can communicate faster (at FB). A mind reader could be able to write 4 times as fast as a fast typer.

People get already twisted about it. Faster, and better then the best machines, people see what  this all might mean for us.
What shall it mean, when FB can 'read our mind', and most of all what will it do with the information that they get?
That are the things that are not that much worrying me, yet.

I am more wondering about other things.  Like you now alreaqdy see with chats, messenger and short messages, people are writing fast, short lines, and the consequences of what they write they do not oversee.
See how the President of the United States is ruining things with tweets only.  Not thinking, just writing, and then afterwards he can say that he meant it different.
When our minds can be read and our words can be formed much faster then we (now) can write, what will happen then?  It might mean that words come faster into the publicity and that way we easily reveal our private side. We can react more emotionally, faster, less controlled.

We all know, or should know, that a written word remains much longer then a spoken word only. Especially digital, we rapidly loose control about where our words go to. I do not know who reads my blog, who shows it to others, who copies parts of it and where to, for what purpose.  I do not even want to THINK about that!!!

On the other hand. When you have problems with writing, and your mind is clear, then a 'mind reader'  is extremlely helpful in communication. It might even give you a chance to come into contact with people, socialize.

We shall see what it all brings. Technique is unstoppable. When we are too scared, and not allow this new challenges, then the chance is there that it lands into illegality. What might be much worse then controlled advanced technolocy.  Time will learn it, our children, and more likely our grandchildren, will learn to live with it. And might get scared about other, new technolocies as well.

How social are you?

Because I am addicted, I now and then need to talk about the social media, and for all our big evil Facebook (what has not much  with a book to do, at all).

Regurarily I read complaintts, where people question why others have to express their private life so much at FB. And sometimes I moan as well.

Is it really needed to tell every day, in public, that you love someone so much?

Is it really necessary to tell what you are eating?
Do I really need to know that you could not sleep?  (ha. .. me guilty!)

A social media easily runs into an un-social media, when we forget what it all is about.  Just realize, again, what you really want to share and what not.
I do care for you, else you were not at my friends list, but do I need to know that your child failed in potty training (apart from the fact that he will read it in 10 year and comes with questions to his parents, why the .... such needed to be posted, with pictures and all?)

We all can fill in examples, where we read too much information about the private life of others. Maybe, before we complain about them, we could take a look at ourselves, and ask why we post things. And for all, if it really is something that others want to know, to read, to see.

Sometimes we spread too much information, even without realizing it.  Thinking, before you write or post, might help.

Here a nice example.  I took this photo, because the name of the pub, colours and more.  Then, I saw that it as well revealed a city name, so that you can figure out where I was at that moment.  Do I really want others to know that all?

Memories to look forward to

I look forward to memories.

Those memories will be made today, or in the (near) future, and will be reminded, long after that we are gone.  Some will have a name at it.  Like the war criminals, that rule their countries in Syria, Russia and America, and who play dirty games with innocent people.

I hope that other memories will be remembered better.
When we all help people who need it, we will not make it in the history books with our names written big.

But what we do will be history. The 'people'  who do care for the earth and the people who live on it.
The people who help people who need to get to the other side of the street.

You will not have a name in the books, when you help someone to eat his food.

But, when you do it, you can hope that someone will be doing it, when you need it, later, as well.
You will be glad if the guy who feed you, rememembers how someone fed his grandma, when she could not eat anymore without help.
And the guy that feeds the woman, will see the grandchild watching him, telling that grandma is ill. The helper will smile to the girl, and tell that  we all can help a bit, to make life nice for grandma who is ill. The guy gives the spoon to the little girl, who wants to try to help her grandma.
And then she returns the spoon, telling the man, that it is not so easy.

And we all can hope that the girl remembers the words that the man told her.

It might not be easy, Rosanna, but it is worth to do!

Why I don't like mondays?

Tell me why I don't like Mondays?

Okay, that is not a great question.  Let me rephrase.

Is it a bad day, because when I made my coffee, I dropped the 'pressing part' and a plastic part broke off?

I still could, and can, make my coffee, while looking calmly around for an aproperiate follow up.

Is it a bad day, when you find out that your camera needs a clean up, and your favorite photo shop can not help you, because the 'cleaner'  is on holidays?
I went to the alternative photo shop, got a better price for the cleaning, but....

The man told me that the sensor might have been (slightly) damaged by former cleanings. Does that make my day bad, when he assured me that I should not see (much) of it at future photos?
Maybe I should consider a new cam, tho.... but I have time :-)

Is it a bad day that I walked to the ticket office, to book a trip, and the office was closed?
The weather was beautiful, sunny, and I met very friendly people who asked me to make photos. Thereby, there is still plenty of time to order them, so I will get a new chance.

Is it making it a bad day, when I absolutely can get nothing seriously done?  I wanted to do so much, and I did so few?

Instead I blog, again, after a few days of absence, and it feels so good to write again!

Also, why should I not like Mondays?
As a wise man told me, once... If you do not know the answer at your question, then you might need to rephrase it.

And then, after I wrote this..
Is it making the day bad, if you throw down a beer bottle and it breaks in about 1000 pieces?
The bottle was empty, and the floor is clean again...

For the record, I do not drink in the day, the bottle was left ovver from Saturday. :P

Climate change??

Imagine

You are living on earth, and you are aware of things around you.
You noticed that the weather gets more extreme. Winters are different then in earlier days. In some parts the winter disappears, in other parts it is more heavy.  Srorms get more heavy, more and more tornados, floods and more and more parts of the world where is a lack of water.

I hear you thinking, yes, climate change, it is all around us. Of course there is still a lot of beauty, espeically when you go out, when you photograph, you see a lot of beauty. But we can not deny it. The mountain of plastic is increasing rapidly, and everyone is aware that we need alternatives, such as solar energy and wind.

The energy companies, who got rich by selling us 'dirty energy', do not like that too much. They do want to keep their power in their own hands, and therewith being able to gain all the money that we have (and more).

Exon, Shell, Aon, Gazprom, they are not intrested in the future. The only thing that counts is what  comes in their hands right now.

Luckily a lot of countries see that this is not working, on longer time. They search for alternatives and find them.

But some big countries are lead by people who are not intrested in our future, only in filling their pockets with money.  That is why those countries do like to return to the dirty resources, like coal and oil.

Because those companies are ruling those countries.  Two big countries, both having US in their countryname, are trying to destroy the world for the future generations.
Democratic powers are stroke down with force.  Climate porbems are denied and not there, according to these governments.  And who tells different?  They just should shut up. From free will, or with force.  Welcome in 2017

Terrorism

They did it again,  a terror attack, this time in the city of London, maybe the best protected area of entire England.

Sigh. What can we do against an individual person, who decides it is nice to drive into a crowd of people, or to attack someone?
The answer is easy. We can do NOTHING against it. We can ban some groups of people, but there will always be a realistic chance that people from other 'labels' take over it, in a mood of anger, for a certain 'war', whatever.

Let's face it. We can never be 100 % secure, unless we limit our own freedoms very strong. Do we want that?

We must be careful, and we should live on, without fear, without hate.

And even if it is difficult, our reply to terrorism should be easy.  Hate and strong attacks only lead to an upward line of violation and insecurity.

There is only one answer.  Love each other. Listen to another. Do not blindly say bad things to people that you do not know.
Terrorism and violence have no answer against love. That is why love will always win.

Let's shake hands

This is a true story, from a few years ago.

I am, anyway, on line, now and then pretty harsh with my words, and people not always like what I tell.  That is pretty harmless with people that you never meet, but when you act that way to people in your own village it is different.

This man, who I accused a few time, on line, about racism and more.  We met in the park, for the first time, and he came to me with the words:  Do we have a fight?
My reply was, well,  not for me, but if you insist....
Good, we talked, shortly, he asked if I knew who he is (lol) and I said sure.

After that meeting he wanted to go, and I said.. shall we shake hands?  And so we did.

The man did not change in my opinion. But I take him more serious now. I disagree fully with his attitude and thoughts, but we can walk in the same street, we can meet, greet, and get on distance as soon as we can.

This way we both not need to hide or pretend that we not see each other. In the end we are living in one city, so we meet, sooner or later, again.

I think some political leaders (or pretending leaders) should be able to gain more respect, if they should shake hands as well, instead of pretending like you did not hear the thing.
Yes, f.ckwits are everywhere, even in the highest political ranks
