Sturmfrei .... wtf?

At the moment that I write this, the sun is shining, as if it is spring already, on a beautiful Friday, the next horror messages are coming out of the media. Radio and TV.
Everything is preparing for a stormy weekend, in what we expect, next to the normal rain, a storm, with possible windspeed as in a hurricane (140 Km p H)

So, appearantly it is pretty easy to forecast this, what makes our part of  the country preparing. In the schools will be closed on monday, 'sturmfrei', also free for storm.
Yes...  Storm Free...To prevent our scholars for worse...

Well, call me old fashioned, but I do not understand such things very well.
I remember the time when we were young (yes, that is a while ago), that we had to go at our bicycles, or if not, by foot, walking, to school when the weather was bad. When there was snow, rain, and also when there was a storm coming up.
I can not remember that there has been one day, that we did not have to go to school, no matter the weather.  Of course it is good that 'we'  can better foresee what all comes to us, so that we not need to bring ourselves in danger, but.....
When the situation is so serious, why are only scholars prevented?  Why do other groups of  people still have to risk rheir lifes, to go to their shops, to serve people, who appearantly better should stay home, just like the scholars and teachers?

It confuses me, it gives me headaches. Maybe I better stay home, and see if I can get out on Monday.  Oh no.. wait, then not. Oh, why not, I am not a scholar, so I can.   Help.... :)

Make this world Greta.

This commercial was in our central station, in June, and I liked it right away. It was in the time that the young Greta was becoming famous for her 'friday for future'  strikes and her activities for the world climate.
I understand the frustration of people,  when you see what happens with our planet. The pollution is immense, the solutions are far away, and, often hidden by power and money makers, who  prefer to let the things as they are, instead of changing.
History learns us, that people need to get on the street, if they want changes. In this case it started with a very young woman, and meanwhile she is known by everyone.  Friends and foes, I wanted to write, because, as appearantly is normal nowadays, who has ideas has to count with massive attacks, threathenings and insults at the person. Only very strong people can hold that.  And the people who simply stand for what they want and NOT give up. Who simply ignore the violence and not lead the attention away from where it is about making this world a better one. Not only for herself, but for everyone, who can be angry about that?

I see people that I really like, posting 'hate messages', like, the most irritating person of the year, and that is a mild one, all about that Greta Tunberg, who is worried.  Instaad of that we take her worries away, the world is trying to put her in a corner, to let her shut up her opionion.  Not so easy anymore, every day more people join and want solutions, where we ALL on coorporate. We can only improve our life, our future, if we work on it together. And our future is now, so we should hurry up with that!

So, I see absolutely no reason to hate this woman, for what she is doing.
Why do people, who does not know her, personally, judge her on things that are from the category fake news?  Why are you nerved by seeing the words of a worried young woman?
I should respect you much more, if you not reply to her woreries, what are as well mine (and of MANY others) with hate and agression, but when you say, okay, I want you to go back to school, here I am, I take over the things that you are wishing for us all. Why?  Because it matters all of us.

Coffee to no.

Let's talk about the climate.

Let's talk about the name climate change, and never use that word again.

Why not?  Because a change, is a natural thing. We change the place we live, we can change our job, our attitude, all kind of things that we can change, and that we can live on with.
The crisis in the climate is different.  That 'change'  is not a choice.  It is happening and we can not change the change.  It is a crisis, because we all can see what is happening, and it shows now rapidly, everywhere.  What we all neglected, in the past, now is reality for us.  It is a crisis, more then a change.

Crises seem to be a red ribbon in my present, and the climate is not different.  I should love to change things, but maybe, for some changes, it is too late...

Wrong Hans!  It is not too late!  It only is too late if you give up, ignore, and let it happen.
A change can be made now, and it is wonderful to see so many people participating. More and more people help, in their way, think and take some action.

As you know, I love photography.
As you might know, I like to add my minion to some photos.
As you know, when you know me long enough, I am always willing to voice against things that happen, of what I think that they are no good.
So, why not combining those all.
As you all know, or SHOULD know, I love coffee.

From now on, I will act, peacefully, at Coffee to go.
Personally I will not take any Coffee takeaway anymore, if I can not have it in my own mug. Yes, I need to carry it with me, and I have to clean it, clean my hands and so more.   So what?  Nothing wrong with that, and cleaning up is a thing where it is all about, right?

I just want to drop this idea here.  Just as an example from that it is not always big, what we need to change. We must just act.

Here are the photos about Coffee to no, from my sunday morning walk.  I made (of course) more photos, but these are the coffee mugs, that I gathered and put into a waste bin.
You will see them more, in the future. And my target is reached, when I can not find any one at all anymore.

Let's make this world better, let's just start, and not wait until others do.

So, now I deserved my coffee, I think.
Coffee to no.  Because we are worth it!

Climate - Something huge is happening

                                                                                              Dear friends across Europe,

The world is about to sign up to a 100% clean energy future! But the goal to completely cut carbon is at risk at the Lima climate talks. Let's flood negotiators with messages now to make sure they know the world is watching, and to stand strong for climate action!

SEND A MESSAGE
Something huge is happening this week -- our governments are about to set a goal to cut carbon pollution completely, putting us on a path to 100% clean energy! This target is now in the draft Global Climate Agreement, but it is at risk.

Right now, Ministers from all over the world are on their way to Lima, Peru to hammer out the agreement. But oil, coal and fracking companies, and countries that want to keep polluting are lobbying hard to pull this crucial target from the text. That’s where we come in.

People power forced through this crucial goal, now we have to protect it! If we don’t, scientists are clear -- catastrophic and runaway climate change is inevitable. Our best chance of blocking back-room deals with polluters is bombarding our Ministers with thousands of messages.

If enough of us act, they’ll know they're being watched and expected to stand strong for the goal of 0 carbon, and 100% clean energy. Send your message now!

The Avaaz team is on the ground and will ensure each country’s delegate and media know how many messages have been sent per country, and our messages could even be projected onto screens right in the conference hall and hand delivered to Ministers.

Long time climate activists are saying there is more hope for action now than ever! After hundreds of thousands of us took to the streets in September demanding climate action, the EU, US and China finally started to move in the right direction. Getting their commitment to reduce carbon pollution to zero would be a massive step forward. Let's lock in this progress before the lobbyists can unravel it. Send a message now:

For years we've been campaigning for climate action. And now our governments are finally moving in the right direction, but the stakes could not be higher, and what happens next will depend on us. Let’s do everything we can to win the deal we need to save the world!

With hope,

Alice, Iain, David, Emily, Laura, Oscar, Fatima, Ricken and the whole Avaaz team
