This highly-revered religious leader is serving a 2.5 year sentence in a Chinese prison for allegedly “divulging state secrets” – reminiscent of spurious charges that led to the imprisonment and tragic death of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche last month. Due to serious health problems, worsened by deplorable prison conditions, Khenpo Kartse might be the next victim of China’s brutal policies in Tibet. Why I've been persistent …

I’ve been persistent about membership renewals this month because annual gifts from ICT members and people of goodwill like you are essential to all of our efforts to create meaningful, lasting change for the Tibetan people. One minute to help Tibetans

With only a few days left, we’re still $76,000 short of our year-end challenge goal for the International Campaign for Tibet. That’s why I’m asking you to step up again to help Tibetans live in peace and freedom. We have a great sense of urgency and a strong passion to save Tibetans’ lives and culture. This, we know, is not too ambitious; it is the right thing to do. We have until Wednesday at midnight to reach our $200,000 funding goal. That will allow ICT to start 2015 strong – speaking even more forcefully for Tibetans who have been silenced by China’s oppressive policies, and advancing the cause of Tibetan self-determination worldwide.
