People can always amaze me about the way they think and the matters they get upset of.
The (now) famous Zoo of Copenhagen did feed some old animals to some other animals again. After the Giraffe, a short while ago, now it was the old lion, being feed to the younger ones.
Why the fuzz? Why the shock?
First of all, I think it should shock you more that so many animals are kept into prisonship, instead of living in their own habitat. A zoo is an animal prison, no matter how you see it.
Secondly, consequently, the zoos need to maintain their park. Just like that the flowers are weed in your garden, the animal population needs to be kept healthy.
So, when there are plants, or animals, of what is decided that they cannot stay any longer, and of whom is considered that there is no other place for them to live or have a good future, they are eliminated.
What to do with the leftovers?
Why is no one shocked that zoos raise chickens and kill them then for the animals? Why is no one shocked when other animals are fed to the 'fellow prisoners in park' ?
Now that there is some publicity about this particular park, the world seem to be in shock about what happens?
I can understand that it is not the nicest thing to see, when animals eat animals, but isnt that exactly what is their normal behavior in free nature as well?
Come on people, if you realy do care for animals, you should stand up to get them into their natural freedom worldwide. You say that is not always possible, I know that, but we can do many things. if we realy want we can give them back to mother nature. The only thing is, of course, that it will be less easy to make that beautiful picture of grandma, mama and the little kiddies feeding the elephants with peanuts...
We have all been brainwashed and we forgot what the real thing is about. Get awake! Stand up for freedom, for all what lives! Give the animals back to nature, where they can consume the weaker ones all from themselves.
And give the copenhagen zoo a thumbsup for again being open and honest in how it works!
