It's in the air

 Spring is in the ait!

It definitely is there, today it really is a day of spring, full activity of the animals. And I was (for me) pretty active too. I did not only go for the cheese shopping, but I also made a little round in the park.  People everywhere, do they have nothing to do?  Oh... no... it is still lockdown, that's why they are all around.

No problem, today, I had more troubles with my wintercoat, but that will be over soon, tomorrow it will be cold again...  And we shall see if it is true, when it is that far. As well as that we see what happens, when the wise men and women decided what all will be allowed (again) next week.

And I can already write, what the crying minority will say.  It is not good, this Regime is not letting us free anymore... And so in every country a extreme small and extreme loud minioriy is crying their fingers out at the social media-
And meanwhile. The large majority is just doing the most easy thing.  Deeep sigh, and go, with the flow.

As my favorite band tells me, if you can't beat them, join them, and that's it. Why ruiin your own life (and that of others) with fighing someting that you can not fight with?

Live now, be happy.  It was a sunny day. I was the best day of your life, did you live like that?  You still have the chance... Tells Guru Hans :)

The photo.  Lockdown at the Kö, one of the most 'expensive'  shopping streets in Düsseldorf.  No niche,  the empty stones look as miserable as in every other corner.

Against everything

Here in Germany, it is on Wednesday, when the new rules for  getting through the corona pandemy are decided. As usual, the press knows already before roughly what the plans are. At the social media they make the contest, who can publish the news as first. And of course, everyone can react on it.

At Facebook there is a phenomena, that, everybody who has too much time, can write their opionion below the articlles.
Most people don't.  They just wait until tomorrow (wednesday) and they do what they have to do today, between the lines that are put.

At Facebook it is different. The people with too much time, are all experts and tell already long before the measures are official, how ridiculous they are, how bad they are.  And of course Merkel is responsible, alll the limitations fit in her plan.
The people, who scream so loud, that the measures are bad and should stop, do not accept the new steps back to normality, but they are against.... Against every thing that is ordered. Against every step back to normality. Against the fact that we (most likely)  can shop again, after having made an appointment with the shops...

What's wrong with people?  When we not want to stay in this situation, why are 'they'  then again every new steps back to normal?
I do not understand (those) people. I do not want to understand those people.
Why can't we just be happy with every little step? Why can't we enjoy the beautiful weather, and accept the things as they are, for now? It will not be forever!  Even when it is a long time, look to the bright points.
If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, you should go forward, and not staying in the middle of the darkness!

So far my whining for today.  I heared so many people, who are not happy, and have a good reason to be not happy. And that has nothing to do with the virus, but with how people treat eachother.

Breath the air. Enjoy the sun. Laugh about nothing! :) And, as the song goes .... LOVE is all you need.

Be love.  Love it

Tomorrow I will not rant. Promise! :)

A nation of ...

The excitement is big ... The crowds at the hairdessers and barber shops (I know the difference now) was big, as far as I could see it, and as far as we could expect.

Little by little, we go to normal, but it will be a  road with a lot of questions :)
My day turned out calm and nicely.  I spend a bit of time witth photograph tutorials, and I went out for a small round, to see the results. Progression is made, I think, even tho the 'Hausstrecke'  is done uncountable times, I had my fun, even without the Eisis/Kingbirds, they are magically gone again.

Time to prepare dinner. Another highlight of the day, because that means that my best half will be home soon. I love the days with longer light.
The photo...  Tomatoes.. Out of the box, also, without editing.  I thin I love it :)

It's my life

And another day iis over, another month is over, tomorrow it is March already, and... the hairdressers will open!  This weekend there was a lot of activity around the hairdressers and barber shops, windows are cleaned and they are ready for the storm of customers.  Some hairdressers will open already at midnight, as if there is not already enough madness in this world.

As my motto is 'seize the day', we shall see what happens. Today brought me, with the train, to a nice small ciity near by. I went out early, because I wanted to return before the crowd is out.
At my end station, I wanted to photograph a sculpture, what I noticed in my former visits (I worked there), but, at the moment that I arrived, a dad with his children was sitting there, and I don't wanted to disturb them, I could do the photo later.

I walked a bit away, to get the entire station building at the photo, and two men were starting to yell at me.  Hey, you do know that you are not allowed to photograph people, why are you photohographing them.
First, as  I am, I did ignore them. When they got louder, I answerred, that I am a photographer, that I know the official rules and that I do not things that are not allowed.  I did not want to argue further with them, so I looked, to find the right angle for my photo of the building.

Now the 2 guys were not letting off. One said, I forbid you to photograph people, this is my city and you can not do that.
My reply, .. well, this is my country, and I act as that the law expects me from me.
Now the two men changed starategy, and start yelling to the dad with his children, that I am taking photos of them.  The man, nor the kids,  did not react.. I finished my photos, the two men walked away. Then I approached the dad, apologized for the two men, and he smiled at me, saying, it is a beautiful sunday, isn't it?  And I fully agreed, had a wonderful walk in that little town.  When I , after the walk, returned to the train station, I could take  the photo from the statue. There was a disabled man sitting next to it, in the sun. I said, don't worry, I only photograph the statue.  And the man repolied with ... Ist mir egal  :)  (what means somethithing like, I don't care).

It was a beautiful day. I wish everyone, to be less upset about others. Mind your own things, they are much more important then the behavior of others. When people treat you unkind, just shrug, smile and wish them well.  Walk away.  You not need such in your life, do you?

We got to stop those ..... .....

 Ich habe Corona so satt!
Mal ehrlich magt ihr Corona noch?
Es hat schon viel zu lange gedauert! Es Reich!t!!!

( I am so fed up with Corona!
And honestly, do you still like Corona?
It has last long enough. We will make it stop!)

The audience  got wild!   The handful of people, that gathered under the bridge, for the weekly 'Anti Corona Demo' in Düsseldorf hardly noticed the blurry speaker, two girls started yelling, as a sign that the speech was over. Their yell was a sign for the others to clap their hands,  but it was not convincing.

Holy cow.. I think I landed in the wrong film!

That was the end of my afternoon walk in Düsseldorf. I could not avoid the wild clrowd (lol),  I was waiting for the tram. Luckily 40 meters from 'the demo'  the sound of the skate board players and the traffic was louder, and definitely making more sense. :)

It was a nice walk, this afternoon, after the 'saturday morning routines'.  It started all with  a friend, who took the same tram as me. Of course we sat separate, what is very silly, but, as compensation, we met again in the park, even when we have been out of the tram at different locations.  Some things just need to happen  :)

It was nice in the sun, chilly in the shadow, I think that this is actually the weather that should be this year. The daffodils however start flowering already.  Meanwhile the animals are searching their territory, for the upcoming children nursing.

And yes I walked at the area  where it is no longer allowed to sit at the banks, outside.  Remaklable many banks were occupied.   Does that mean that this many people not listen to the news or read social media?

Questions, Questions.  There is no day without new ones :)

The photo... when the park is not big enough, you can always pretend that the park is bigger!

Weekend

 Yes, it is officially weekend

And even for us, it looks like it is a real lockdown weekend,  happy at home.

The big 'lockdown' uproar now, is that our cities start to locate the 'gathering'  problem.  In Düsseldorf and parts of Cologne, it is no longer allowed (in weekends that is) to sit and gather in certain areas in the city.
The mask wearing will also be for 'joggers'.  Something that I really enjoy, because they usually have no idea for social distance, and their coughing and heavy breathing is not always feeling like it fits to all the other things that are not allowed.

As for the gatherings, we can no longer sit at the rhine area. The crowds just have to move on.  It is logical, the bars and restaurants are closed, so there is not an urgent reason to sit longer. Besides, right now the weather temerature changed from early summer to  late winter again.  It is still sunny, but less comfortable then a few days ago.
For me it doesn't matter. First of all I have no idea yet, what I will do this weekend, and secondly, when I go, I will wear my mask, and eventually drink my coffee 'on the go'.

After the excitement of yesterday (photo of the pre spring in February), my camera got rest today.  I did my household and was only out for the shopping and to bring back waste to the container.  I wrote a few mails to people of who I think often to write (and not do it).  Typical me.  Glad I did it.  I feel calm, relaxed, and, as the doc ordered me to use my arm not too much, I try so :) ItÄs okay. I look forward to a relaxed weekend and I wish you all the same.

A royal day

And that is what it was, today, a royal day.

More then usual talk about Queen, especially about the irreplaceable Freddie (and an arrogant guitarist), his music at the radio and, as topping at the cake, two Kingfisher at one photo.

Today there was a package from Amazon, a beautiful rain coat for me, now the rain can come. Meanwhile, today, it looked like spring again. I wanted to go for a small walk, had absolutely no expectations, but the walk was filled with nice things.   My 'adopted street sitter'  M. was there again, his long hair all was gone and a shaved head instead.  He had a bad food poisoning and luckily is feeling better again.  Then a short talk with some others, and the afternoon sparkled on.
On my way home, I decided to make an extra round around the pond, just because the weather was so nice. Then I saw a few people sitting in the bushes, with HUGE cameras. Good that they had that with them, else one easily could imagine other activities...  And there I was standing eye in eye with the 2 blue birds. Spring is in the air, hard to imagine that 2 weeks ago it was freezing and 25 degrees colder!

All in all a good day. A bit weird as well. 2 people asked me, if I should like to go to play tennis with them. The sport places re open... Well, I do not do Tennis :)  lol, so I think they will find other  partners for that.

The photo, with this optimistic blog, is from a closed tattoo shop.  Still cloesed, but of course.... (maybe?)
