11- 30 My current relationship

Day 11 in the writer's challenge can be answered with 1 line.

My relationship is not of your business.

That is, as long as you not part of that relationship yourself of course :-)

Maybe it comes as a shock to you, but I am various relationships.

I can't help it, the resistance is simply too much to handle, I can not control myself, or, better and more honestly, I can not control myself.
My excuse is simple and clear. Why should I restrict myself to one relationship?  Why should I not pick the frutis of more then one?

Tho this basically answerred the topic for today, I think that it is fine to explain my relationship a bit.
My relationship with coffee is clear for everyone who follows me on FaceBook, and before at MsN and who knows me in real.  The days are over that I drank 20 or more cups a day, but still it is a great start of the day. When I have not had my coffee, there is something missing, or I am seriously ill.

Having written this, my relation with the digital world is obvious as well. At the end of past year we had a few weeks that we had no internet, that was already a revelation. Of course I managed, and I got time for some  things that were 'dumped' aside but never forgotten fully.
But yes.. I love my computer, I love to do many things with it.  Writing, for example, contacting with people all over the world, work, free time :)  This is called a serious relationship, and I love it, day and night!

My next relationship that I can reveal is my relationship with Queen.  I live queen, I love queen, I breath queen, I can not live without them, and I not need to. Freddie and the boys brought me many internetotional friends, with who I have a great relationship as well.
I met people world wide, becme very good friends with some and it even turned out to be a serious relationship, the last one I go to reveal.

My relationships are real, and help me through my days and nights. Without them I should be lost, they are anchors in the sea, so that my ship will not drift away. They are stimulating me to do more, they are where I believe in. They make me sttrong, this way I can go on.

My Sabine is truly the love of my life. I never before managed to keep a relationship that long (exception is the computer, lol), and I am looking forward to many many more years.  It is not always easy, but it she the best that ever ccame over me.

Fruit I don't like

10/30  - fruit I don't like

Aaaargh...  Tticky, tricky

I love all fruit.

From bananas til greapfruit, apples, pears you name it, I like it. Not that I eat it too often, but when, I like a fresh kiwi, and how about a big piece of water melon? Mmmmh, yes, I love fruit.

What I not love in fruit is the modern 'super market'  fruit. Somehow it all tastes like water with a tiny bit of flavour, wrapped in a thing that looks like an apple, tomato or what more.

Where are the times that an apple tasted like an apple, where you really had to bite and what tasted sour and tasty? Where are the pears that did all lok different, in comparance with the cloned fruits that we find on sale?

I get my fruit at the market, once a week, on Saturday. That fruit comes from local farmers. You are even encouraged to come to pick the strawberries, cherries and so on. They do not look all identic. They do not taste all the same. That is fruit, ladies and gentlemen. :)

8/30 a book I love and one I didn't

Today's challenge is a true challenge, because how should I choose a book that I love, while I love so many books?

Let me start to say that I do not know the answer at the book I didn't love.  There are a few that I never finished, but most of them are forgotten and faded away. I tend to enjoy the books that I love, and can read them again and again.  There is one book what I can remember that I didn't like and that is the last issue of Harry Potter (the deadly hollows).  I think the story ends too rude, too many unsolved things in it.  Nevermind, I return to the book I love.

First thought was  Lord of the Rings, especially the first book. Everyone should know the saga of Frodo and Sam, if not it really is a loss.
I thought through my history of books, Robert Ludlum and Jeffrey Deaver came up, with their breath taking adventures, books that I read in a few days, and for what everything else must wait :-).  The Dragon riders of Pern (Anne McAffrey) are awesome and the story of Jamie Fraser, the Highlander Saga, is as well very much worth to read. Oh, and the vampire range of Anne Rice... Just to name a few!

I am blessed with a partner that loves to read. a lot.  And I mean a lot.  She often brings me in contact with new authors and books of what she tells me that I should read them. It is thanks to her that I started to read the books from Josh Lanyon.

It are crime stories that contain (love) affairs between men.  My favorite at the moment .
..  A book that I love,
also is  'the mermaid's murders.
The book is well written, but what it lifts far above the other good books is the description of the main persons and the change from hate to affection between the two men.
Josh describes the feelings and emotions from the main persons so well, that you very soon 'have to'  get feelings for them. They are becoming not just names in a novel, they are real.  I look forward to read the next story of Sam and Jason, and I should recommend you to read one of the books of Josh. I am sure that you will not regret it.

And beware he (well, she, in fact)  writes many books, so if you get infected with this, what is good possible, then you might loose your time in reading. There are worse things, I guess!

7/30 What tattoos you have and if they have a meaning

I start my writer's challenge today as in tradition to ciritsize the subject.

The subject assumes that the writers in the contest have tattoos.  So, now what to do, because I have no tattoos. Am I not able to do the contest? Or shall I let it go and just write on the go.

I never had a tattoo, and it is most unlikely that I ever will have one.
There was a time that I wanted a tattoo, but I never had the guts, I simply do not like to be hurted, or that my body is transformed, in whatever way,. No piercings, no make up, no hair colours, no tattoos (I make an exception for my toe nails in summer!)

I do not feel the need anymore to etch my skin with a nice Freddie or with the name of someone that I love.  Those signs are etched in my heart, they are mine and no one elses.  Everyone may see and notice my adoration of Queen, of my children, of my girlfriend, and my wisdoms I can write down where ever I want.
Things that I not want to forget, are etched in my heart. It are my hidden tattoos, there are a few of them. And some of you might know a few.

Others will never see them, and that is fine.  Just as it is my skin, and only I decide what to do with it, it also is my heart, and I decide how I will use it.

Hmm, it seems I am in a bit agressive mood today, when I re read this.  I am not.  This day, April 7th, is 'jjust'  a special day.  Etched in my heart. Clearer then the biggest tattoo.

(here the new trend in tattooing.. black/white tattoos...)

6/30 Someone who fascinates me

The 6th day already, and I start to like writing again!

About a person that fascinates me.

Well.. Every person in my life fascinates me.  Fascinating is for me not the same as admiring. Faschinating is for me being amazed by how the other is and is doing. I am not only fascinated from the people around me, but as well from nature, animals and all what is around.

I am fascinated by the new born baby, that is preparing for its first cry. If you ever saw that, heard the first sound of  the newborn child, then you know what I mean.  A new sound in the universum, more fascinating is not imagineable.

Children, animals, in fact it is the same. The new life, flowers, it is amazing to see it and also amazing to follow how the things develop. Sometimes you loose the sight, yes, then the fascination transforms to mystic.  What about .... (fill it in), what did become of  ..., after all the time?

I am especially fascinated by people that are not afraid to show their ideas, and stand for it.
People that are standing up for justice, equal rights, against torture, people who want peace,, people that invent things for the sake and wellness of others. Peace fighters, Light workers.

Oh, and how about angels, aren't you fasciated from them?  Well I am!   My guardian angel always anazes me. No matter how long I ignore him, when I need him, he is there. Fascinating!

One of the most fascinating people that I know influences my life every day.  His music, his life, his attitude. Wanting to be the best, and becoming it, because he was living his ideas.  I love Freddie, every day of my life!
An endless list of people that are fascinating. And if I have to choose now, I really am not sure who to choose. Mother Theresa? Ghandi? The Dalai Lama, Vincent van Gogh, My best friend?

I shall surprise you with my answer at today's writers challenge.
Someone who fascinates me ...

Audrey Hepburn
A woman with an amazing life. her films and performances give so many people joy. Her work as ambassador for UNICEF, started when it was not yet 'cool'  that celebreties were putting their name on humanity.
Her smile, and her incredible beautiful heart.  I can talk hours about the why, but it will be incomplete, the more I write.

A hug from the most fasscinating person that I can think of.  Priceless.

4/30 10 Intresting facts about myself

10 intresting facts about myself.

The 4th day in the writer's challenge and what a subject it is!
First of all I was a bit confused about what we have to do
10 intresting facts, okay, but for who they are intresting?  Are my daily routines or habbits, what are so normal for me, probably intresting for others?

I can't imagine someone is intrested in the colour of my socks (black)  or the fact that my toe nail is looking weird, but when you are a feet fettisch, such might be intresting.

Point is, I have no idea who you are, who is reading this, so what do you find intresting on me?

I think I tell simply a few common things about myself. Who is following me at Facebook, or even longer, might know a lot of me already. Good, no longer babbling. Okay, the babbling will be longer, this is in the end a writing challenge.
Not a poetry challenge.
I love to write poetry(1),  as long as I can remember.

I am a silent person and in school I often was the thinker (2),  and I did not always agree with the things that we had to do.  I am a person that asks why, and, if the answer is not satisfying me, I try to figure out why that is, and if I have an alternative what works as well.

I had not an easy time at school, but when I could write, behind my little wall, it was fine.
I continued to write when I discovered the music.  I am a huge Queen fan (3), but next to it I love a lot of other music. I spent a big deal of my money in music (4), I can not count the times that I was laying in my sleeping bag before the ticket office, to assure myself from good tickets.

Or before the record shop, to be sure to have the first release of another LP or single (vinyl was not cool, but just the only thing to get).

My music brought me a lot of friends, especially Queen friends. I was a llong time member from the Queen fanclub and did correspond with people worldwide, from America to Russia. This was in fact the prelude to what soon afterwards became the digital world.
Can you imagine, I disliked computers?  Well, I really did (5).  I was working in the health care, loved to work with people and told that I never should want to work with a machine. Back to human (to stay in Queen lines, I never can be serious longer then 10 minutes in a row (6), really!)
Times changed, jobs changed, I had my children, a boy and a girl (7) and I was offered a computer course in the very early days. There was no windows, yet, there was a kind of internet, called ARP, what just became public, after that it was developed for defence services.
I loved it, and I found a job in it, where I could combine my care for human and the work with computers, when I started working at UNICEF.  It was a wonderful time, and even there I was able to combine my wrtiting, the company newsletter had my weekly essays. Queen remained to be the red ribbon, because, what a coincidence, my direct colleague was a Queen fan from the early days as well, I went with him to a concert of Brian May, because in that time Freddie passed away.  And I still get tears in my eyes when I think about it, every year in November my mood changes and then I realize again how it comes.

Mood changes are part of me. I am a thinker and I am very sensitive. I cry easily(8) what not always is a disadvantage. In my role as chairmain in some labour organisations (9) I could not stop my tears when I felt that I (or my goals) were treated unfair or rude, and then the tears jump out. Many manager did not know what to do with it, and from the moment that I had learned to use this, I knew that that was the moment to get my things working. Sounds like a child's trick, but it works in big business as well :)
As being a thinker I also tried to find out how my mood changes were coming to me, and why.  I discovered at pretty young age that there were things that I can see and others not.
Colours and more. Accupuncture. Energy healing. (10).

And that, my beauties, were the 10 (more or less) intresting things about me. The red lines are Queen, Human and writing.  And when I write this, I wonder where I left the book in what some of my poetry is printed. It must be here, close to my books of astrology.
I thnk there are some more intresting things, but who knows, maybe there is a next challenge to write  :)

3/30 My first love/ first kiss

Writer's challenge day 3. My firts love/first kiss

Nice, these subjects.  I think that the one who originally spread this contest, had the idea that people could open up and reveal their deepest secrets with this.

However, that is not working with me, today -smiles-

My first kiss, my first love, I call her Gee, for the ease :-), and just like yesterday, this brings me back to my early memories, around kindergarden and ground school.

Yes, I think I was a romantic child, when I was about 6 years old!
We were raised ats a good catholic family, and that did not mean just going to the church, but it meant as well attending a catholic school.
It was much further away then the other school (around the corner), but we went there for the good purpose. And  imagine, people of today.. We walked 25 minutes to get to school, no one brought us by car.. Yes, when we were lucky, we were transported at the bicycle of my dad, but usually it was a long walk along the canal.

On our walk to school we met other school comrades and one of them was Gee. We often walked together and talked together, and played together. Gee was not only a pretty girl, but Gee had a television at home!  (we not -yet-).  So, at our free wednesday afternoons we went there to watch tv as well.
Soon I fell for Gee's charmes and she for mine. We often went to school walking hand in hand, and, since it was a long walk, we made our stops as well.
It was spring, 52 years ago, that we took our break, and rested at that bench at the water, behind the daffodils.  We talked about the future and it was  not even a discussion, we should get married and get children and all.  Life is so easy, and uncomplicated!

At that day the daffodills were flowering so beautiful, I picked one and gave it to Gee.
She gave me a heavenly smile, and a big kiss. Help!!!  I almost was strangled by her, should I be rude and break free, or should I wait until she lets me go?
At that momentt, the entire complicated matter from having a relationship passed me in one second.
It took me more then 40 years to realize that.

About 15 years ago I met Gee again, we drank a coffee together.  She told me that she could not really remember the things pretty well, but her mother has told the stories so often ...
Yea, that really did p...  me off!
And so, consequently, after more then 30 years, my first love finnally found her place in the row  :-)

I am happy now, believe me. And te memory is sweeter the more years that pass.
